Warrior Prince is the first chapter in the four book series charting the incredible life of Harald Hardrada. The end of his life, at the battle of Stamford Bridge, is famous, perhaps legendary. So significant was that battle and his death to northern European history that the Viking age is often said to have ended with his life.
But less famous, and no less remarkable, are his early years. Harald was not born destined to be a king, as a half brother of a deposed ruler he was exiled at the age of 15, sent to the Kyivan Rus with a small band of followers and his wits and weapon skill.
He forged a career as one of the greatest and most sought after mercenaries of his time, and Warrior Prince is the story of that rise to fame. The year is 1030AD, and the extraordinary adventures of Harald Hardrada are ready to begin.

After several years of training, practice and hobbyist work I am opening my bladesmithing order books for bespoke projects of unique, functional and artistic blades. I will have no catalogue or standard models, no drop down menu options or choices of 3 types and styles of handle. I will be doing collaborative, blank sheet design, wild and imaginative projects to create bespoke knives for special occasions/gifts, or statement pieces to have in the kitchen, dining room or office. No two will ever be alike. The categories of knife I make are kitchen/chef’s knives, steak/eating/general purpose knives, and desk swords (fancy paper knives).
This is not ‘customisation’ of existing designs, the commissioner will have wide latitude to set the parameters, theme, style and other aspects of the project, and can visit the workshop to meet and discuss the project before it starts. They can provide, propose or select materials and techniques if there is something particular they want, and then enjoy a truly unique and personal piece of functional art when it is complete. Form will not trump function, everything will be made to work and made to last, using the highest quality materials and construction techniques.
